Eastwood’s “School of Rock” Jog-A-Thon is fast approaching! On April 11th, 2018, our students will run/walk laps for 30 minutes to help raise money for our school.
Donations raised will help support and enhance your child’s experience at Eastwood. The proceeds from this year’s Jog-A-Thon will be used to purchase musical instruments.
We believe that all students love music. Our goal is to provide a way for students to foster the love of music by providing students with the opportunity to interact with a variety of musical instruments used in the contemporary music industry (guitar, ukulele, drums, bass guitars and keyboards).
We can be one of a handful of schools in the country to provide exposure to a side of music not currently offered at the elementary school setting…and become Irvine’s first School of Rock. Our goal is to raise $23,000! We encourage your child to reach out to family and friends that are both near and far. Many corporations/employers will also match employee donations to organizations such as the PTA. All donations are tax-deductible.
Parents, you should receive the following form in your child’s folder on Friday, March 23rd. Please fill them out and return to the class. Below are the digital version.
To Join Jog-A-Thon:
1) Please download and fill out this PERMISSION FORM and return this to your teacher by April 10th, 2018.
2) Please download and fill out this T-SHIRT ORDER FORM and return this to your teacher by Wednesday, March 28th, 2018.
We need volunteers for setting up the tract, marking lamp cards, serving popsicles after the run, cleaning up/tear down the tracts, tallying up lap cards…etc.
1) Please download and fill out this VOLUNTEER FORM and return to your teacher. Or;
2) Go to Sign Up Genius and sign up to be a volunteer today. All volunteers are advised to come 10 min earlier and check-in at the front desk before going to the field.
